Dr. Cara Hall was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She attended the University of Manitoba and earned a BSc. Agriculture. She was accepted into the Western College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, and graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with Distinction, in 1979. She completed an Internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery, and entered private practice in 1980. She has been employed in companion animal practice and started the Beckwith Animal Hospital in Carleton Place in 1995.
She has performed laser surgery for many years and has adopted the therapeutic laser as an important treatment option for many conditions. She will look forward to continuing this standard of care at Mississippi Veterinary Services with the CO2 Laser and Therapeutic Laser. Her special interests include soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, nutrition, dermatology and preventative health care. She has a strong desire to improve the veterinary care of our feline population.
Currently, Dr. Hall resides in Carleton Place with “Cory” a cream Standard Poodle, “Darcy” an orange tabby cat, and “Eva” tabby cat she adopted through the clinic here.
In her free time Dr. Hall spends time riding her dressage horse “Canadian Remark” (aka ‘Taylor’), baking, walking “Cory” and reading.
She is very pleased to be a part of the Veterinary Health Care Team at Mississippi Veterinary Services.
