NOW HIRING – 1-2 Kennel Attendant Positions
This part-time position (average 9-12 hours per week) is ideal for a high-school student looking to gain some experience in the Veterinary field and is shared with another high-school student. The job would commence the end of August as our current students are both heading off to University & College.
Currently students come for 3pm and are done by ~6pm weekdays, 1030am to ~1:30 pm Saturdays. Two staff currently fill this position working three evenings and every other weekend. It is a must to be able to stay up to an hour extra if needed as we occasionally have late day urgencies or emergencies.
The successful candidate should be energetic, enthusiastic, organized, be a team player but also work well independently, be over the age of 16 and of course enjoy working with animals.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
-General cleaning of the clinic that is very specific on a daily, weekly or monthly tick task chart for each room. This includes daily sweeping & mopping floors, garbage’s, cleaning of sinks and counters etc.
-Cleaning kennels, walking dogs, laundry, preparing surgical packs etc., assisting the veterinarians and technicians with patients (animal handling).
